    **DIABOLICAL**. I wish I'd of listened to everyone and stayed clear of Wickes Arnold. After paying over £8000 for them to supply and fit a kitchen I may as well have thrown it down the drain. Stuart the 'kitchen designer' came out to measure our appliances and kitchen shell, we were happy with the kitchen and went ahead and signed to proceed. Mark at JCP Building came out to re-measure our appliances and kitchen and both Stuart and Mark advised me that the washer dryer which matched our Samsung fridge would be standard size, after I had asked them twice if they would measure it seen as they had already measured the fridge and that was slightly bigger than standard size, they advised that ALL washer dryers are standard size so we booked in for Mark to come and fit the kitchen. We left Mark a key on Tuesday morning to then come to the house Wednesday evening to be told that he wasn't in a good mood because his dog had been at the vets and his wife's best friend had personal issues... I didn't want to get into a game of who has the most stress so off I went and proceeded to pay him £1000 cash for the very little plumbing and electrical work he had carried out. Cutting a long story short Mark 'completed' our kitchen Sunday afternoon so when I came to see it and sign it off I realised my Washer Dryer wasn't there. He advised it didn't fit because it was TOO BIG - yet Stuart and Marks famous words were that ALL washer dryers are STANDARD SIZE!! I went down to Wickes and Stuart the kitchen designer advised he had never come across this size washer dryer before and even if they had they didn't supply a worktop that size anyway - why didn't anyone tell me this before I agreed to go ahead with the kitchen? That will be because they weren't clever enough to measure the appliance. Anyway, Stuart clearly couldn't make any decisions on how we were to proceed so this was passed over to another Stuart, the installation manager. Stuart came out to view the kitchen and we showed him the horrendous electrical work Mark had done under the kitchen cupboards, we also showed him what a state Mark had left our living room in, he had nicked the Rhino bag we had paid for to put the rubbish in (clearly his property is a dive so he needed it more than us) so we were left with ALL of the mess in our brand new home. We kindly let Mark cut up the cupboards in our garage as it was wet outside but little did we know, he decided to cut up and then have a private party with the cuttings as our new carpet which was rolled up ready to be put into the house was sodden with all the cuttings stuck to it, obviously Mark didn't know how to clean up after himself. Stuart confirmed that we would be reimbursed for the boiler cupboard not being the size we had signed and agreed for and also a good will gesture of £200 would be given - how generous!!!! I waited two weeks for the Wickes manager to come back to me to advise that they were happy to pay for a new washer dryer which was a smaller size, lucky me.... I now have a washing machine that fits I just needed to plug my fridge in. Oh, Mark had supplied a socket for the fridge which obviously I paid for but the fridge cable didn't reach the socket... he may as well have fitted the socket on the other side of the room!! So my lucky Father had the joys of rewiring my fridge as I knew it would take a lifetime to try and get Wickes to come and do such a simple job like move the socket. 4 weeks on we have a working fridge and washing machine yet still no refund from Wickes... I've been told this evening that the finance department at Wickes head office has changed so it takes longer for a cheque to process, absolute shambles. If the customer service had been anything like half decent then I wouldn't have to take to expressing my disgust in a review but unfortunately I'm one of the unfortunate customers to have received sh*te service. Cheers Wickes!!
